The Mohawk University Administration’s COVID-19 Response

The Mohawk University administration is committed to being transparent, keeping residents fully informed, taking actions based on detailed planning, and making decisions based on the facts on the ground.

State of Emergency

Secretary-General Doolittle issued a proclamation declaring a state of emergency in Haldimand Province. This action expands and supports the Provinces response across all levels of government, and increases coordination among all state and local agencies and emergency management teams.

Mobilizing Resources

On March 18 the Secretary-General informed the Minister of Crown–Indigenous Relations Carolyn Bennett of our concerns, additionally, the Secretary-General has informed Minister of Indigenous Services; Marc Miller of the same, including our Intention to strategically support our residents for emergency coronavirus preparedness.

To meet our administrative needs, under the operation of the Haldimand Proclamation our office shall confiscate strategic properties with a lawful excuse to the defense of property under a claim of right to peaceable possession,  to provide our office with the necessary tools to move forward with our emergency services to our residents,
